We have watched, heard, and read about the devastating evil customs that existed in erstwhile India. The most hideous era when the sovereign tyranny was in full swing where women had been miserably subjugated by meaningless laws and superstitious rituals.
An eerie era where Women were only considered as a feminine symbol and being thrust into the role of slaves. Societal norms had amputated her wings before she knows about her strength and inoculated her with ugly misconceptions about womanhood, that women are always bound to sacrifice their life for their family and kids. The embarrassing religious customs often isolated her and buried her dreams and desires.
The majority of the old poetries, novels, and what more to say, even films, film songs, and other literary collections once portrayed women only in the context of her dependence, and highlighted her weakness, lauded her sufferings, and praised her as an extreme form of patience. These all played a pivotal role in erecting a strong male dominance over women in almost all realms.
But at the same time, it wouldn't right to whine the entire past for their customs and literary contributions. Since the revolutionary classics like "Adukkalayil Ninnu Aragathekku"&"Indulekha " are some of the old golden nuggets of dramas and novels which could drench the dry hearts and minds of all mentally imprisoned women with the drops of new hope to an extent. Our olden era had also witnessed the prowess of brave women social reformers who challenged the restrictions imposed on them by society.
Our modern era is far more advanced now where women are getting equal heed and recognition. Her intelligence, creativeness, and innovative ideas are being acknowledged and respected by society. .She is being honored for her contributions. She too is savoring the fragrance of independence. She is breathing the air of freedom. The same creature once confined into the four walls of a cuisine, now single-handedly erecting niches for themselves and prospering their future.
She became bold and revolutionary. She made herself an irreplaceable personage in several diverse domains, holding prestigious positions and powers in Defence, Politics, Business, Film industries, and other myriads of newly emerged digital and social media platforms. Her courage and gutsy decisions along with timely deeds made great triumphs and remarkable contributions to the welfare and wellbeing of the world.
Indira Gandhi , First female prime minister of India , India's steadfast"Priyadarshini",The eternal and consummate woman who appears in the first pages of Indian history. She led India with all her force and debunked all the myths existed in that black and white era regarding the physical attributes needed for bearing leadership. Her sagacity ,erudition and prowess in every dealings made our country to assume a new trajectory . An unsurpassed woman power in politics who exemplified the hidden potential of a woman .
Priyanka Chopra , The International woman star recently published her memoir titled "Unfinished". The flaming young woman face in film industry shares all the exquisite and abysmal moments in her life's journey and also shares how she had survived all those tribulations and belittlements that she had faced during the initial stages of her career just because she was a women . But her determination and hard works took her to the peak of success . She could build her own space in a male dominated industry .
Malala Yousafzai , The youngest Nobel Peace Price laureate . A girl with strong self esteem who fought against the injustices of Taliban terrorists for the rights of girls education and got shot on head. But she did transcend all the impediments and acheived the most coveted graduation certificate and now running a girl's school in Pakisthan at the age of 23 .
From the half bit of knowledge I have , I can analyze how women have evolved over time .
From Kamala Harris ,The first female vice president and highest ranking official in United States to Priyanca Radhakrishnan ,The minister in New Zealand Cabinet and Arya Rajendran , The youngest mayor in India who serves in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation are all giving a new colour and hope to posterity.
This digital android era has opened a lot of opportunities for them . The young women entrepreneurs have already carved their niches and running lucrative businesses . Leveraging all the resources available in this modern colorful era , They became financially independent and earing descent income. Breaking all the stereotypes , women contribute her family finances too. As we go from low to high hierarchies of any prestigious positions, we can see the presence of women and their valuable contributions . Her saga's of space expeditions ,mountaineering and other adventurous achievements are all steering our young women community ahead in a right direction.
Albeit .......The series of awful and nefarious offences against women are so shameful to all our progress and advancement . Women are still getting abused physically ,emotionally and financially which maims her deeply forever. Now a days it has increased manifold .They hardly gets justice if they are from less privileged families and crimes are being condoned by the authorities and thus make the culprits freed from all further snarls .
This has to be changed . We should raise our voice for the justice of our own and for the voiceless . We should nurture our physical skills . We should push ourselves to the mainstream of society . Don't let anyone to play with our life . Let's draw courage by learning the basic essential skills to make us more bold , intelligent and knowledgeable . That will immensely help us to face anything appears on our path in this long run .
But boldness doesn't means to humiliate anyone and publicizing it over the social medias . We can easily relate this to an incident that had recently happened to a Zomato boy .An egoistic nature of a woman crumbled him mentally. We can well imagine the gravity of his pangs and sometimes may be beyond our imaginations .Her abrupt arrogant reaction not only crumbled that man but also his family.
So be true to yourself and be kind to everyone . Always keep a warm and endearing smile on our face
Let's built a fairer world . A world of happier men and women who are truer to themselves .
